Hailing from the East Tennessee Mountains, Guitarist and Producer Ryan “Tater” Johnson and Singer/Songwriter Heather Conatser joined forces to create “The Somber Sky”.  This blues based duo has influences based in classic rock. “I have always loved the blues, so it’s been a blast to write and create with those sounds in mind,” says Tater.
     Tater spent 18 years in a radio rock group called 10 Years and help write some hit songs, traveled the world, and actually met Heather after a concert at the legendary Tennessee Theater. “I was impressed with Heather the first time I heard her singing along to the radio in the car, I just knew we had something special.” Though some trial and error they landed on the blues and that classic sound that we all love.
